These sounds like Vietnam all over again. Makes you wonder if the rape charges against US soldiers in Iraq are really the truth (as in Japan, Vietnam, Laos) or just hype as the Americans would have you believe.

President John Hancock declared, “The Continental Congress is recalled from its 227-years recess for this ‘Extraordinary Session.’ America’s existence is threatened, as it was in 1776, with an emerging menace. Today’s foe is the ‘New World Order.’” Ben Franklin added,“I feel that our national situation is perilous, more so then when we first took on the imperialistic King George III. At least, then, the people were awake to the danger. Today, they are mostly asleep!" President Hancock concluded, “America is resolved to restore the Republic and crush the New World Order.”

Noting the announced rally in Baltimore on June 26th at which Ralph Nader and Dennis Kucinich will be featured speakers, Ted Glick comments that it’s a "good move by Nader, leading by example for those who haven’t yet grasped the importance of Greens, other independents and genuinely progressive Democrats working together wherever possible. And it’s a good move by Kucinich, countering the regressive, anti-Nader, anti-Green attitudes of some Democrats, including relatively progressive ones who really should know better." Glick also wonders if Al Sharpton and the movement he represents may fit into this development.
