Ft. Detrick Unearths Hazardous Surprises. By Elizabeth Williamson

After water in wells near Ft. Detrick tested toxic, cleanup crews went digging into the fort's former waste dump. The 2,000 tons of hazardous waste they uncovered contained not just the toxic chemicals they'd expected, but also vials of live bacteria, including anthrax.
