Apologists for Iraqi War Going Bonkers

Ann Coulter is the Madame Defarge of the looney Right. She recently thrust her needle into Cindy Sheehan, accusing her of “engaging in Stalinist agitprop outside of President Bush’s Crawford ranch.” Then, the obviously unstable Robert Novak wrongly labeled supporters of Sheehan’s vigil as “extreme antiwar demonstrators.” As lies about the war are exposed and opposition to it grows, apologists for the Bush-Cheney Gang are collectively going bonkers.

imc stringers needed wednesday aug 24th to cover bus rally

there's a major rally this wednesday to protest the planned service cuts in MTA bus service: baltimore.indymedia.org/newswire/display/10913/index.php

it would be great if some people could help do some imc coverage for this. in particular, it's really, really easy to get interviews with people while they are waiting for buses, we could go to bust stops along lines slated for removal, and ask people how this is going to affect their lives.

STOP the BUS CUTS or SHUT IT DOWN!

The MTA's new bus plan is an OUTRAGE!

Join the ALL Peoples Congress and the Million Worker March

Picket & Protest infront of the MTA Offices
Baltimore & Light Streets (corner)
Wednesday, August 24, 5 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.

Help get out petitions/call (410) 235-7040 for more information

Thousands of workers won't be able to get to their jobs. Seniors and the
disabled will be shut in. Students will have to wake up at 4 A.M. just to
be able to get to their classes. This is because bus lines will be cut
and others moved miles from their original site.

Why? Because the Governor has cut 5 million dollars from the bus budget
and shifted it into building highways. This was a decision of priorities
not one of necessity. They cannot use the old excuse of inadequate fare
box returns. The money is there.

It's obscene that trillions are being spent on the war on Iraq-while the
poor and the workers in this city are going to be deprived of
transportation.

Global warming continued in July 2005 with temperatures in the U.S. averaging 1.5 Fahrenheit (F) above the average temperature for July, over the period of record 1895-2004. Nine states had "much above normal" temperature for the month, an additional 33 states had "above average" temperatures, while only 6 states in the contiguous U.S. had near average temperature for the month. Wisconsin had above average temperatures, as did Alaska. No state was cooler than average for July.
