Oklahoma activists have launched Consumers On Strike Against the War. They are advocating that people target an economic attack on the white collar big money psychopaths running our economy and government (collectively known as the War Party) by spending less money and shifting their remaining purchases to locally owned, independently operated, businesses and cooperatives or collectives.

On the corner of Broad and Walnut in Center City, Philadelphia, August 10, 2002, more than 25 MOVE members and supporters (including several visiting from Spain) gathered for a demonstration to commemorate August 8, 1978. On this day, 24 years ago, more than 500 heavily armed police officers attacked MOVE headquarters in the Powelton Village neighborhood of West Philadelphia. When the MOVE family fled into the basement to avoid the attack, police countered by flooding them out and imprisoning the MOVE 9 for the murder of Police officer James Ramp.

This article continues communications with Joshua Brown, Baltimore member of the International Solidarity Movement. He and 14 other "Internationals" have placed themselves at risk to protect the home of a family whose son was a suicide bomber. The IDF have vowed to destroy this home. The International Solidarity Movement uses only non-violent tactics to achieve its goal of supporting the Palestinians right to freedom.
