The term “housing crisis” currently relays thoughts of subprime mortgages, housing scandals, the current interest rate, and the horrifying thought of millions losing their homes to foreclosure. The current housing crisis was foreseen by many, and yet nothing was done to stop its downward spiral. However, the blame can’t be placed on any specific aspect of the real estate field, such as the lenders, the investors, the agents, the appraisers, or the builders. There are no quick fixes or easy go-to solutions to solve all of the housing market ills that are currently taking place. Many homeowners are still sitting back wondering what happened in the first place and if their piece of the American Dream is just as quickly taken from them as it was received.

The Code Blue shelter, which provides emergency housing in Baltimore City, is due to close down for the year on March 31st - and there's no where else to go. There's a march on city hall starting at 12:30 on 3/18 from Our Daily Bread on Fallsway, followed by a rally at City Hall, after which homeless Baltimoreans and their supports will be packing the 4:30 Baltimore Housing Authority Meeting to demand year-round emergency housing. 10 year plans mean nothing when you've got people on the street now!

Since the beginning of January 2008, $800 billion have gone up in smoke. Nearly every big bank has had to admit billions in losses. The credit crisis continues. What began as a subprime crisis on the mortgage market in the US has long infected all financial markets and the "real economy".
