Did you hear the one about the white supremacist and the anti-immigrant lobbyist traveling to Washington D.C. to visit elected officials?

Sadly, it’s not a joke.

From April 23-27, this country’s largest anti-immigrant lobby—the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)—will be in our nation’s capitol convincing elected officials that the road to immigration reform lies in a gutter filled with racism and bigotry.

Let’s make sure that when FAIR arrives in Washington D.C., U.S. Congressional members ask its members and leaders why the organization continues to brazenly associate with white supremacist leaders and organizations.

The Center for New Community is asking you and/or your organization to take one simple step that will show FAIR that its agenda is not a joking matter.

At www.buildingdemocracy.org you will find short and simple steps on how you can help members of Congress understand the real bigoted history behind the Federation for American Immigration Reform, and its aggressive agenda to curtail the civil and human rights of immigrants..

Across the country immigrant, civil and human rights organizations have begun to hold FAIR accountable for its ties to white supremacists.
