World Social Forum reportback @ Red Emmas (This Weds.)

Two local activists who attended the recent World Social Forum will stop by Red Emmas this Weds. at 7:30 pm for a reportback as well as to offer reflections about going forward.
Globalize Resistance organizer Virginia Rodino and local hip-hop activist Lorne will give presentations this Weds. on their impressions of attending the recent World Social Forum. The event begins at 7:30 pm, and a short Q & A or open discussion may follow.
Ms. Rodino has been an anti-war organizer with United for Peace and Justice and activist with Globalize Resistance UK. She is the national director of Democracy Rising! and spoke on three panels at the World Social Forum (WSF).
Lorne is a hip-hop activist and Baltimore resident who is associated with progressive hip-hop and Russell Simons' recent Hip-Hop Summit.
Both speakers will have interesting, divergent, and harmonious things to say. Another WSF reportback event with a different WSF attendee is scheduled for mid-March at Red Emmas. This Weds., Feb. 23rd, event begins at 7:30 pm.
