NCOR Rocks at American University
National Conference on Organized Resistance took over the Ward Building from Friday through Sunday.
Photo highlights to show you what you missed:
First seminar on Sunday was Coleman McCarthy's. If you believe in peace, he's probably the most inspiring syndicated columnist
out there. Running to get there before he was finished was a former student of his -- "late for class" -- whom he taught at School Without Walls, a D.C. public high school.
Lunchtime was fun and games. A vegan lunch and a beautiful springlike day. Radical cheerleaders and people on stilts along with the Rhythm Workers Union kept it lively.
A seminar on divesting funds from Israel showed how Israel is pushing Palestinians into what South Africa called bantustans. The encroachment of the wall has destroyed thousands of old olive trees and separated families by barbed wire fences rigged with robotic machine guns.
