The Baltimore Anti-War Coalition's overnight vigil for peace and against the destruction of civil liberties was still going strong at midnight. Several dozen activists and community members have spent the afternoon and evening playing drums, stringing up signs and banners, and enjoying the occasional cup of soup or peanut butter sandwich. The vigil is located in the plaza of the Federal Courthouse at 101 East Lombard st. in Baltimore.
There will be street theatre tommorow at 8am, followed by a day of activities culminating in a march to Senator Paul Sarbanes office at 5:30pm. The march will begin at the vigil's current location.
