ICC Public Hearings Scheduled

This is an announcement of public hearings on the massive Inter County Connector highway project. This highway project is on a fast-track. Public opposition and a legal challenge could stop it. The ICC will impact the environment and spawn new development in some of the last remaining rural areas immediately North of DC.

FOUR ICC PUBLIC HEARINGS SCHEDULED
The State Highway Administration will host four public hearings on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) and Section 4(f) Evaluation for the Intercounty Connector Project.
The public hearings are being held in three locations to receive comments on the DEIS and are open to the public. The hearing locations are accessible to persons with disabilities. Written and verbal comments will be accepted at the hearings.
Hearing information is listed below. Speakers may register in advance by calling the ICC Study toll-free line at 1-866-462-0020 weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. In addition, speakers may register through our online registration form 24 hours a day. A limited number of slots will be reserved for those signing up at each hearing location on the day of the hearings. If you did not sign up in advance and if time permits at the end of the scheduled testimony, those who did not register will have an opportunity to speak. We do encourage you to sign up in advance if possible.
*Please note that if County public schools or evening school activities are cancelled on the day of a scheduled hearing, then the hearing will be rescheduled for the listed snow date.
