Anti-Bush Activists Rally in Mt. Vernon

.
Nov. 3, 2004 Baltimore:

Last night at the Washington Monument starting at around 5 pm, activists and concerned citizens converged for a second Reclaim the Streets, No More Bush event. A march then began of roughly 50 people, at first circling the Mt. Vernon area, and then heading downtown. People on foot and in cars gave thumbs up and honk-support on what was a grim Nov. 3rd day.

Even from an anti-two-party system perspective, that fact that even 30 percent of the voting public would support this war-mongering, lying president is gray and dreary. Of course, now calls of "unity" will ensue from all the major media sources, while electronic voting without paper trails will not be questioned, unless people continue to drum up that particular question.

The march may have lasted past 7pm. People remained in Mt. Vernon holding signs for passing traffic and those walking. Some college students from Notre Dame arrived with Kerry-Edwards
signs and joined for a half an hour. Keeping up a public, no-unity public presence is one tactic to ensure free speech and thinking lasts, even if surrounded by heavy police presence.

A small, no-unity gathering may occur from 6-8pm tonight below the Monument (on the downtown side).
