Vote for Green Party Candidates for City Council
In this election Baltimoreans should vote for progressive change in the City Council.
Baltimore residents have the opportunity in this election to continue what they started when they passed Question P to create fourteen single member districts for the city council and that is changing, improving and opening up the council to better representation. Every member of the present council opposed Question P. Now the voters can make real improvements to the council by electing the eight Green Party candidates running this time and one Independent candidate.
The city desperately needs council members that have integrity and represent the residents, not developers, large coporations and the wealthy. Voters should start with the council president and vote for Joan L. Floyd to give guidance in a new direction of accountability and competence.
In the new District 1, residents should elect Matt Clark; in District 3, Bill Barry; in District 4, David G.S. Greene; and in District 5, Terrence T. Fitzgerald. All of them are in the Green Party. In District 8 voters should support Jacquiline "Jackie" Johnson an Independent candidate from ACORN. Baltimoreans should vote for Paul H. Dibos in District 12; Glenn Lowell Ross in District 13; and Myles B. Hoenig in District 14. They are also in the Green Party.
These candidates stand for real change which the city and the council badly need. Vote for progress, for integrity, and for leadership. Vote Green!
