On Monday morning, April 8, 2002, several supporters of death-row political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal had a preliminary hearing for charges against them relating to the police attack of the December 8, 2001 Philadelphia demonstration for Mumia. While some charges are not being continued, many other charges are still being levied against the protesters who were arrested and beaten on December 8.
