No Stolen Elections: What is it?
People in the global justice movement, people like Michael Moore, and organizations like Code Pink and United for Peace and Justice, are fostering contingency planning across the Nation for the eventualities of the Nov. 2 election.
A Fair Elections Advisory Council, made up of US and international elections experts, will give their assessment on election day itself. If they find significant fraud, an the Urgent Response Network will be activated calling on people everywhere to engage in protest, including non-violent civil disobedience. Keep your eye on Baltimore Indymedia and be part of that response network.
The list of participating cities across the country is growing: Amherst, Ashville, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Gainsville, Las Vegas, New York, Pittsburg, Reno, Sacramento, San Fransisco, Santa Rosa, Tucson to name more than a few.
No Stolen Election Pledge of Action
"I remember the stolen presidential election of 2000 and I am willing to take action in 2004 if the election is stolen again. I support efforts to protect the right to vote leading up to and on Election Day, November 2nd. If that right is systematically violated, I pledge to join nationwide protests starting on November 3rd, either in my community, in the states where the fraud occurred, or in Washington DC."
