The foundation of Jah Works is based on a love and respect for Jamaican
music and culture. It is this sentiment, which gave birth to Jah Works and
has become the thread, which has kept them together for 10 years and
counting. While their music is clearly move "reggae" than any other style,
as US native they've always added their own flavor to the mix. At times,
and during certain songs, if you closed your eyes you'd swear you were down
in "yard" (Jamaica) listening to a bona fide Jamaican band. At other times,
the influence is shared between Jamaican and American styles, and you'd
swear you'd never heard anything like it.
