WHAT: Nader/Camejo - the progressive alternative in 2004. Featuring Ralph Nader's Vice Presidential running mate Peter Miguel Camejo.

activist.
Guest speaker line up includes Shuja GRAHAM, political activist and exonerated death row inmate; Virginia RODINO, Maryland coordinator of Nader/Camejo 2004 and Green Party candidate for the Maryland Congress; Lee SUSTAR, Labor Journalist on Counterpunch.org and activist with the International Socialist Organization; and more.
WHY: As the casualties of the war in Iraq continue to climb on both sides, millions of Americans go without health care, and high levels of joblessness continue to face workers, anger against George W. Bush is rising. But the political campaign of democratic candidate John Kerry has given people little to hope for as an alternative to Bush. The areas of disagreement between the candidates do not compare with their overwhelming areas of agreement on the Iraq war, civil liberties, opposition to Gay/Lesbian Civil Rights, and more.
In other words, Kerry will continue many of the key elements of the Bush agenda if he is elected
president.
Nader/Camejo 2004 stands for an immediate end to the occupation of Iraq, a single payer universal health care system, restoration of our civil liberties and money for schools and jobs, not prisons and bombs.

independent politics in 2004.
Peter Camejo is a first generation American of
Venezuelan decent who was born in New York in 1939. He has fought for social and environmental justice since his teens. He marched in Selma, Alabama with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. rallied for migrant farm workers and was active against the war in Vietnam. His most recent run for office was as a Green Party candidate in the gubernatorial recall election in California. His participation in the debates in that election resulted in him speaking to a worldwide audience.
