(While admitting that the documentation of living people indicate that the temperatures in the upper levels were not sufficient to melt steel, the International Herald Tribune nevertheless sticks to the official story that there were pockets of 'pockets of the building rose to more than 1,000 degress Fahrenheit, or 538 Celsius, sufficient to weaken steel'. Some problems with this:

1. Kerosene burning in the open air CAN NOT melt steel.
2. The Towers collapsed in their footprints. That requires UNIFORM, SEQUENTIAL FAILURE throughout the structure. The pictures of the people still alive on the upper floors contradict this.
