With a desire to go beyond the current political climate and the asinine debate between a right wing extremist and a right of middle apologetic liberal, we went in search of a book with a view of the world that brought with it hope and alternative perspectives. That search brought us to "The Society of the Spectacle" by Guy Debord. Its' pages strew fourth thought provoking critiques of modern day life and the ills we find ourselves in dominated by a capitalist system. Join with us as we collectively discover what Guy Debord had in store for the world. Learn, grow, experience and interact with others who are sick and tired of the two party system that fails to represent but the wealthy few.

Synopsis
Few works of political and cultural theory have been as enduringly provocative as Guy Debord's "The Society of the Spectacle". From its publication amid the social upheavals of the 1960s up to the present, the volatile theses of this book have decisively transformed debates on the shape of modernity, capitalism and everyday life in the late 20th century. About the Author
Born in Paris in 1931, Guy Debord was a filmmaker, social critic, and founder and longtime member the Situationist International (1957-1972). He died in 1994.
