Greece may be the cradle of civilization, but there is nothing civilized about the way the Greek government is handling the overabundance of stray dogs marring the pristine image they want to portray for the summer Olympics. With all the money being spent on keeping the athletes safe from terrorists, the Greek government has chosen to terrorize the innocent dogs in their own country. Perhaps some of the money could have gone to spaying and neutering their animals and finding them real homes.
Greece is being cruel, barbaric and antiquated in its treatment of "man's best friend." So when you sit down to watch the beautiful, talented athletes who will compete for gold medals, know that up to 15,000 innocent canines were brutally murdered, so as to present an esthetic picture of this "civilized" country.
