STOP ABUSE AGAINST JAILED ACTIVIST TRE ARROW

Environmental, human and animal rights activist Tre Arrow, currently being held in Canada's North Fraser Pretrial Center on immigration charges, has been moved into solitary confinement and is being denied a diet in keeping with his beliefs (raw/vegan) in a blatant attempt to break his spirit. In the 4 months he has been incarcerated he has suffered catastrophic weight loss, and is now down to 91 pounds.
He is not violent, and he is NOT a criminal. Yet he is being subjected to cruel,inhumane treatment. The North Fraser Pretrial Center facility has REFUSED to allow him a raw vegan diet, or even regular access to a fruits or veggies. He's built a trusting rapport with others in general population who traded with him every once in a while when raw, or fresh food is on their trays. However, the selection is neither consistent nor well rounded, so he would go for days with nothing and then get 6 bananas (via trades), he can't consume all that at once, yet the facility refuse to let him keep the food in his cell over night.
He went to the in-house physician on Friday, and when he came back, HIS APPLE HAD BEEN REMOVED!! This was during the DAY (and counter to policy), a guard at the North Fraser Pretrial Center DELIBERATELY removed Tre's only sustenance for the day!! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE AND THE FACILITY AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL NEED TO HEAR FROM US!!!
It's important to understand that Tre's diet is part of his deeply held spiritual beliefs, and is a natural outgrowth of his non-violent, pro-environmental sustainability activism. His need to avoid cooked foods and animal products is no different than a Jew's need to avoid pork. It is a diet of conscience that has sustained his health and athletic build.
HE is quite simply being STARVED TO DEATH. NO ONE deserves this kind of treatment. Please help us FLOOD the Canadian Attorney General's office with calls and faxes, demanding that Tre be returned to the general prison population and that he be provided with a diet in keeping with his conscience.

When you make your call and fax your letter, YOU ARE HELPING TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE FORCE OF MANY, a groundswell of support is gathering behind Tre, in both the US and Canada. People of conscience in both countries are outraged that his health has been allowed to deteriorate so dramatically, that neglect of his basic human needs has reduced his previously robust , athletic build down to 91 pounds, and that he has been subjected to harassment by guards and facility staff.. A reporter who had the rare opportunity to see him yesterday reported that she could "see every bone" in his body, and he is SO WEAK. He needed assistance to get up stairs to the interview. The guard held him under the armpits.
