Student Protest Flyer _04_05_04.pdf (190 k)
Dear Friends:
Algebra Project students are mobilizing to deliver Petitions for Contempt against the Governor and Nancy Grasmick in the Bradford v. Board of Education case.
The event is APRIL 5, 11:00 A.M., at the Circuit Court on Calvert at Fayette. We know it's spring break, but the legislative session ends in two weeks, and the students decided to act now.
A copy of their flyer is attached.
Students will be attempting to line up to enter the courthouse and deliver individual petitions to the court. We are hoping to turn out a large number of students.
You can help by bringing a few of the young people you know along with you!!!
Also, if you have a story about how the funding crisis has affected classrooms this year, send it to me, or bring it on April 5th. The judge is interested in this type of information.
Thanks for all your support!
