Dear Parents:
*We hope you will support your children as they seek the funding ordered by
Judge Joseph H. Kaplan in June 2000. If the State complied with the Judge's
order, there would be no deficit in Baltimore City schools.
*Members of the Baltimore Council of PTA's will be present to help ensure
and orderly event.
*The students will gather at City Hall and then march peacefully to the
Maryland State Department of Education. You are welcome to attend to show
your support.
*The event will end roughly 1:00 at the Maryland State Department of
Education, 200 W. Baltimore St.
*Most students will be using their regular bus ticket on the MTA for their
trips down and back. Any bus going downtown will get students within
walking distance of City Hall. We recommend that students meet up with 2 or
3 friends in their home neighborhood and travel together.
Parents & Teachers if you have any questions or concerns, please call Jay
Gillen at 410-243-8739.
