The Economist, The Nation, and WAMU 88.5 FM will host a debate following the recent breakdown of world trade talks in Cancun. The Economist believes the impasse will severely harm the world's poor, while The Nation sees it as a positive opportunity to reshape trade rules.

The debate will take place on Wednesday, Oct, 8, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center Amphitheater, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in Washington, D.C. General admission is free, on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
