According to the authors of CampedMaskedandArmed.com "All the Television Commercials have somehow gotten mixed up. Now people are going to see things that make them very uncomfortable and not want to buy stuff. All that carefully crafted public relations work is ruined! This is quite a predicament. Must be those confounded caped crusaders at work again"
It certainly seems to be the case. The "Caped Crusaders" as they have so comicbook-ishly dubbed themselves, have been hard at work in their underground lair (or maybe in the back room at some major ad firm, one wonders) crafting wonderfully satirical commercials. The ads are based on TV spots from the US Air Force, Army and National Guard, just to name a few. One of the favorites seems to be a bit on Chef-Boyardee Ravioli, with the catchiest theme this side of the "It's a Small World" ride at Disneyworld. Another is a play on Fox News and the Matrix.
A bit of delving into the site revels the CapedMaskedAndArmed.com "is dedicated to the revelation of the hidden and the unspinning of the spun. So beware all you ad companies, PR firms and other zombie-makers. We will break your trance by educating the hordes, teaching them to laugh their way out of your deadly misinformation matrix."
Many of the spot are being featured in the Gadabout Film Festival which is currently crisscrossing the USA.
