On June 26th, Ralph Nader's "People Have The Power Tour" arrives in Baltimore at the John's Hopkins University Shriver Auditorium. This will be the 15th event in a brand new tour designed to help strengthen American democracy, build a long-lasting progressive movement, and fight for global justice. Nader, along with special guest speakers and performers, is coming to Baltimore to support:

Ø Strong Public Education
Ø Universal Health Care
Ø Affordable Housing
Ø Worker's Rights
Ø Criminal Justice Reform
Ø Environmental Protection
Ø A Fair Economy & A Living Wage

their time & energy to this project.

Only with your support can we pack more than 1,200 people into the
JHU Shriver Auditorium.

In the Summer of 2001, Ralph Nader formed a new non-profit 501(c)(4) organization called Democracy Rising. The goal of this organization is to educate and empower citizens across the country to take back our democracy from the grip of corporate interests. To begin this effort, Democracy Rising has organized a "People Have the Power" Super Rally tour that has put on events in Portland (OR), San Francisco (CA), Phoenix (AZ), Cleveland (OH), Boston (MA), Toledo (OH), Austin (TX), Atlanta, (GA) Tampa (FL), Portland (ME), New Haven (CT), New York (NY), Buffalo (NY) over the last 2 years.

Democracy Rising's next Super Rally has been scheduled for Baltimore, MD on Thursday, June 26th at the John Hopkins Univ. Shriver Auditorium.

At the Baltimore rally, numerous community leaders, popular performers, citizen activists and progressive organization will join Nader to help revitalize the grassroots in Baltimore . Democracy Rising would like to cordially invite your organization to have an informational table at the event. The tables are free of charge and will be lined up inside the auditorium and outside on the lawn. Democracy Rising asks that every group interested in tabling try and sell 10 tickets for the rally. Groups and organizations that sell more than 10 tickets will be given prime tabling locations at the rally. We are expecting more than 75 citizen groups to participate by tabling at this event. By tabling, your group will gain access to thousands of progressive minded people from all over the region and have an opportunity to sign-up new volunteers for your causes.

Democracy Rising will be promoting community tabling, kids activities, and live music starting at 5:30pm . (Promotion on all of our materials and advertisements, the event starts at 7:00pm ).
