OK, I've been thinking this now for weeks, so I may as well come out with it!! Tony Blair's behavior has been, from the outside looking in, all but insane over the past several months. He appears to be following Bush right over a cliff, yet defending Dubya every step of the way! He appears willing to risk his career, his country's security, the European Union's unity, and thousands of lives to support Bush. Yet Blair has never struck me as the village idiot, nor has he struck me as someone who wanted most of the British people, esp. the young, to find him repulsive. This week, even after fragments of the marketplace bomb were found and shown to be clearly from an American smart bomb, Blair was induced, no doubt directly by Bush, to stand before Parliament and lie - on record - about the bomb, still disclaiming it came from the "coalition."

So what gives? Here's my theory. Bush's daddy was the head of the CIA and many of his personal pals are former (and, I assume still current) CIA people. These guys must be privy to one helluva an international grapevine, and thus have the "dirt" on just about everyone who is anyone. Put two and two together: Bush's dad and Bush himself by extension have access to all kinds of CIA dirt.Blair's reckless behavior fits that of a man who is being blackmailed - and blackmailed over something that he is so terrified of having revealed he will do nearly anything, perhaps short of murdering someone himself, to hide. Conclusion: I bet Blair is being blackmailed by Bush.

So, what could it possibly be? Let's face it, after Lady Di and Charles, heterosexual extramarital exploits wouldn't have enough shock value with the press to motivate Blair. Unless of course, he's been captured on film visiting a call girl once a week, dressing in a poodle suit and barking while she spanks him (what an image!).

But in Blair's position, given the attitude of the stodgy Parliamentarians and his idol the Queen, I think the subject of blackmail is more likely to be homosexual liaisons - from his deep past (youthful experimentation) or more recently (he is a closet gay). I say, come clean Tony!! The world would prefer an honest gay man far more than a dishonest Bush toady any day. If London rejects you, you can always come to gay-friendly Baltimore!!!

"Iraq should be ruled by its own people and American forces will not invade Syria and Iran after liberating Baghdad, Secretary of State Colin Powell was quoted as saying in an interview published Saturday."Nobody in the American administration (has) talked about invading Iran or Syria," Powell said [remember that quote, folks!]. "It seems that there is a constant desire by everybody to accuse us of invasion operations. That didn't, and won't, take place."" Just when you really wanted to believe he hadn't sold out to the dark side completely, Powell proves, thru this statement, that he will lie - even suicidally (in terms of his credibility) for Bush.

Now, here's an excerpt from an article detailing the compelling evidence that Bush has been testing the Iran invasion waters

"From March 21 to March 24, 2003, Iranian air-space had been violated with impunity by US aircraft. The US attacked the oil-industry communities of Khorramshahr, Abadan and Manyuhi in Iran not far from the US-UK-Kuwaiti controlled Faw Peninsula and Umm al Qasr -control points for the Shatt al Arb through which billions of gallons of crude oil have passed to the US, UK and Japan. The oil refinery and depots in Abadan were the primary targets. The were casualties but no deaths. US and UK bombers have also circled over Arvand-Kenar in Iran on their way into Iraq. Iranian officials have protested these violations of International Law, but to no avail. Pentagon officials declared the cause of the attacks to be "stray" cruise missiles and bombs. That is improbable. 'In the Heart of Baghdad" : staged "incursion" into enemy territory endangers US troops for phony headlines

The US ordered a couple of tanks to roll a little ways into Baghdad, turn around, and then come back again while they were filmed. It was a strategically stupid and pointless mission that endangered the lives of the guys in the small group of tanks. The purpose? To provide propaganda in the the form of soundbytes, video footage and headlines: "US Troops in Heart of Baghdad!" proclaim the corporate media today! But when the reps at Centcom Studios were questioned closely at a press conference, they had to admit that it had been a "go in turn around come back" episode.

Meanwhile, a Marine regimental commander was relieved of his duties.....no reason given. If this guy had been guilty of encouraging civilian shootings, the Pentagon would have made a big show of that, to deflect growing criticism of the US troops' "cowboy" behavior. Since this was apparently not the case, I suspect the commander was removed because he complained too loudly about the insanity of the mission and the toll it was taking on his soldiers.
