STUDENTS & LABOR MARCH TOGETHER FOR JUSTICE: Students and labor activists will unite today under a banner declaring "Our Struggles Are Really One" as they support workers' rights and affirmative action. The 4PM rally and march kicks off the Chavez-King National Student Labor Week of Action, over 200 events nation-wide celebrating the legacies of Cesar Chavez and Dr. Martin Luther King. Continuing Chavez and King's struggles for equality and justice, activists will rally to call on the Supreme Court to uphold the University of Michigan affirmative action program and then march to support janitors fighting for living wages and health care benefits.
