Activists from various East Coast Food Not Bombs chapters are organizing a kitchen for Peace Protest on February 15th in New York City. Many of them already worked together during major rallies in Washington, DC.
There are currently active four FNB chapters in NYC area: Hoboken and New Brunswick in New Jersey and Bronx and NYC in New York. Philadelphia and Washington DC have also numerous chapters.

Boston FNB activists expressed interest in helping with organizing this kitchen.
Hoboken FNB is 10 minutes from the city and has access to a nice supply of produce and bread. We want this to happen but we need to organize this now and fast! All those chapters in and around NYC, please contact Louis as soon as possible, so that a meeting can organized in person or electronically. Start thinking about a place to cook (ABC No Rio?), possible food supplies (rice, beans, spices?), cooking equipment and serving equipment (5-gallon white buckets w/ lids, ladles?, spoons, bowls, cups?), accommodations for out-of-towners (churches, gyms, meeting halls, homes?), logistics (rally sites – before and after the march), etc.

For all of those individuals and organizations that receive this email, and are not directly associated with Food Not Bombs, please consider helping us in anyway you can. We prepare vegetarian/vegan meals for the needy folks (ALL OVER THE WORLD!) and follow an ideology of consensus decision making. Our presence at rallies and demonstrations has always been well received and greatly appreciated. Strongly consider supporting our efforts (not money, but rather, hands, resources, housing for our people, food items (vegetarian), transportation (van, pick-up) and anything else you can imagine) as we represent Peace and Justice through direct action. We will be providing HOT food and beverages, free of violence and full of love!
