Schapelle Leigh Corby
Summary:Jakarta,Indonesia-She was a working class Australian vacationer pleading for mercy asking judges to believe her, she was sentenced to 20 years for drug trafficking. Is this a fair judgement for Schapelle Leigh Corby? The laws that pertain to this sentence in the United States of America do not seem fair. The 13 commonwealth states each have different judgements, and the laws vary from city to city. A lighter judgement could have been given to Miss Corby. To revisit the nine pounds of marijuana, was there an investigation in this case about her pleading for mercy or asking the judges to believe her that someone had hidden nine pounds of marijuana in her body bag during a trip to Bali? Is this a good judgement for a 27-year-old beauty school student, maybe someone who should get probation or home monitoring? This case should be considered one more time.

by
Herbert Schui
