Hello everybody, I just read the latest update on Infoshop.org regarding the COP-16 climate conference in Cancun, Mexico. Aside from this conference being the stupidest governmental assemblage ever, it continues to be obvious that governmental representatives cannot do anything sane in the face of global climate destabilization and global economic implosion. I have been networking with the D.C. political left to get "mutual aid" to permanently relocate from Oakland, in order to be on the frontlines of radical environmental direct action in Washington D.C., a place where most of the major political decisions are being made which affect life on earth. (I assume that it is no secret to anybody living in the D.C. area, that congress is approaching a higher level of dysfunctionality than ever before). In spite of my having been in D.C. several times since 1991, particularly doing service work with Catholic Worker, there is nevertheless nothing which I can get from anybody in terms of housing or support of any kind. One Catholic Worker activist suggested to me that I consider squatting in the P Street beach woods and eating out of dumpsters this winter, in order to be based there again. This, of course, would be an insane approach. I believe that Jesus Christ would agree with me, by the way. I am asking any Earth First!ers who have anything better to offer me, to get in touch with me soon. For those of you waiting for the democrats to be effective, I seriously pity your confusion!
