From August 13th to the 15th, folks from Frederick, Maryland are planning the first annual "Western Maryland Zine Fest". Our goal is to promote D.I.Y ethics within the local community and to provide a space for zinesters both young and old to explore
ideas expressed in zine culture. Our goal is to create a space where we can build on the ideas expressed have fun and make new friends.

Throughout the weekend we will have free food available and workshops ranging from D.I.Y skill shares, movement history, critical theory, and local D.I.Y. music.
We are inviting folks from up and down the East Coast to come out, table, and have fun. We want YOU to come to swap zines and tricks of the trade.

The Western Maryland Zine Fest is committed to providing the most open and accessible event as possible. If you need child care or a
safe(r) space, please let us know. We'll be happy to accommodate any needs as best as we can. Frederick, MD is located 45 minutes west of
Baltimore on I-70 and 45 minutes north of DC on I-270
