Mumia Abu-Jamal is an awarding winning Pennsylvania journalist who exposed police violence againce communities of color. On death row since 1982, he was wrongly sentenced for the shooting of a Philadelphia police officer. New evidence including the recantation of a key witness, new ballistic and forensic evidence and a confession from Arnold Beverly (one of the two killers of officer Faulkner) points to his innocence! Mumia had no criminal record.

For the last 26 yrs, Abu-Jamal has been locked up 23 hrs a day, denied contact visit with his family, had his confidential legal mail illegally open by prison authorities, and put in punitive dentention for writing the first of three books while in prison, Live From Death Row.

Mumia's fight for a new trial has won support from tens of thousand of people around the world, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Melson Mandela, the European Parliament, Alice Walker, Paul Newman, Maya Angelou, Sister Helen Prejean, Rage Against the Machine, Danny Glover, San Fransico and Detroit city councils and Amnesty International and many others.

Mumia's fate rest with all who believe in every person's right to justice and a fair trial.
