Please join us in Baltimore Rising Tide's first action where we will demand that the banks stop investing in coal and mountain top removal, destroying Appalachia and threatening the health of our communities.

Coal is the dirtiest of all fossil fuels and has a hugely negative impact on the climate, yet the coal industry and elected officials are accepting it as a solution to the climate crisis.
IT'S TIME WE STAND UP AND SAY DON'T FORECLOSE ON THE CLIMATE!!!
Please join us in Baltimore Rising Tide's first action where we will demand that the banks stop investing in coal and mountain top removal, destroying Appalachia and threatening the health of our communities.

WHY: Coal is the country's largest, dirtiest source of electricty and climate changing greenhouse gases. US coal plants are the leading cause of asthma and lung cancers in cities like Baltimore. Despite what the coal industry would have us believe, there is no such thing as "clean coal." BALTIMORE RISING TIDE is calling for a complete halt of new coal development and demands that the banks divert funding away from coal and into local renewable energy sources that will reinvigorate our communities.
