Compiled by Bob Nixon

* Now on trial in Lima for ordering two massacres in the early 1990s, former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of $33 million. * The San Joaquin diocese, with 47 parishes is the first Episcopal district to divorce itself from the liberal-leaning Episcopal Church over the status of gays and lesbians in the church, and biblical authority. Two other Episcopal dioceses have also taken early steps to break away. * Mike Huckabee has flip-flopped on the Cuba trade embargo and support for undocumented immigrants now that he is a frontrunner in the contest for the Republican presidential nomination.
