• Since Thailand's former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra was deposed in a bloodless coup last September, the government has blocked over 11,000 websites and ordered 300 community radio stations to suspend broadcasting.
• A quarter of all American workers receive no paid vacation or paid holidays off, and nearly half of all private sector workers get no paid sick days.
