The non-profit organization, Baltimore City's Downtown Partnership cleans the streets of Baltimore... and happens to displace some of our neediest residents from their homes.
According to the Baltimore Sun, "the Downtown Partnership had confiscated dozens of boxes that the homeless people used to sleep on, as well as empty food containers, from a grassy patch of land shaded by trees near the Jones Falls Expressway," and threatened to throw out their meager belongings if they did not leave in a timely manner.
You can read the article on your own but it did not include contact information; I had to walk over to Baltimore City's Downtown Partnership to get it.
I encourage everyone to write/call/fax to Mr. Mike Evitts to express your anger for this crime against our most vulnerable residents. I just ask that you are as respectful as I know you will be.
