Acts of torture, terrorism and denial of basic civil rights are violations of human dignity.
Yet we hear and read about these practices:
Extraordinary Renditions, Torture, Secret Prisons, Hearsay Evidence, Indefinite Detentions, Elimination of Habeas Corpus and Denial of Counsel
How should we respond?
LEARN
Expert voices will outline the legal, executive and legislative landscape in the United States and throughout the world
REFLECT
Inspiring voices will help us explore our responsibilities, as people of faith and conscience, and move us toward action
ACT
Guiding voices will help us develop effective ways to raise our voices in our own communities. Participants will leave this event with new contacts and improved skills and strategies for engaging friends and associates in conversation about these abuses and ways to prevent them.
