Why is it that 2 or 3 months into complete dysfunction for SF Indymedia that one of its principals, if not the only one, posts things derogatory toward another IMC? SF-IMC has been down for months, yet their priorities include attacking another IMC. While almost no pages at the site even work, a new post like the one below shows up in search engines.
This is not the first time this person has used Indymedia bandwidth to attack this other IMC (see
baltimore.indymedia.org/newswire/display/14387/index.php). Everyone who has paid attention over the last few years knows this embarrassing truth and yet chooses to do nothing. How much BS does it take for SF to be officially disenfranchised from the proud Indymedia network? Isn't some form of IMC unity required? Isn't at least a working site required?

"One of the people who routinely forge my name on Indymedia published this on Indybay:
bayarea.indymedia.org/newsitems/2007/03/06/18373048.php
as well as here:
tinyurl.com/2fre4q
It was probably a right wing miscreant who calls himself "SmashTheLeft"
The editorial staff at Indybay hid it, which is the right thing to do. However, while they removed the text, they intentionally left the title and my name on it so it looks like they hid something I actually wrote. This is fundamentally dishonest of them. They are fundamentally dishonest people. Their history of lying is long, thick and rich. In the past, they have many times published factually incorrect material and hidden the disclaimers. At their very inception, they spammed a slanderous manifesto across the indymedia network, with the forged names of people who never signed it. That's their style.
They are fundamentally dishonest people. Don't trust them."
