We invite you to the writing workshop hosted by Baltimore Indymedia, to be held at the Alternative Press Center near Charles Village in Baltimore, Maryland.
"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act."----George Orwell.
This very basic workshop is open to both new and experienced journalists. In fact anyone interested in writing itself, or polishing up their writing skills, could learn from this Journalism 101 workshop. For instance, famous American novelist Ernst Hemingway got his start as a journalist, and used that ticket to travel all over the world.
The workshop will look at the basic, fact-driven journalistic style, which is often associated with the Associated Press. The workshop will cover feature writing, story editing, and how to post online here at Baltimore Indymedia.
The workshop will be held at:
The Alternative Press Center
1443 Gorsuch Avenue
Feb. 7, 2007; 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.

www.Indymedia.org).
These Web sites are set up for self-publishing by citizens, independent journalists, organizations, and others.
All articles are accepted, except for racist and sexist promotion, the inarticulate rant, and the name-calling attack that fails to make any argument or present any idea about an issue.
Editors and writers leading this workshop have published features here on Baltimore Indymedia, and published in national publications such as Z Magazine, The Nation, Social Anarchism, and others.
We invite anyone interested to join us.
