Serbian Elections (without Christiana Amanpour)

The degree of Anti-Serbian virulent news from the Western press never stops, and I get speachless when I see anything that resembles a positive view. Let's take a look at: The Proof is in the pudding.

It was called pudding, wasn’t it?

I am certain that Dr. Trifkovic will address this same event more astutely than me (or most of us for that matter, but there is a single little element that captured my attention).

Forgive me please but the timing couldn’t be better to share one bit of interesting news from a traditionally anti-Serbian source.

Remember all those anti-Serbian articles (many still dominate “world press” – for lack of better nouns, but AGITPROP is definitely more befitting. As the Clinton/Bleehr alliance grew more bloodthirsty we were more frequently exposed to “atrocities committed by Serbs” against the Muslims, Egyptians, Martians and other galactic minorities, so NATO blew up: a few strategic bridges, railroad tracks, even the militarily significant maternity ward in Belgrade. Naturally there were a few unintentional hits (Chinese Embassy ?) yeah, right. Nothing better for a true objective journalism (see: Chrisitana Amanpour) than demonizing the one who you targeted a week before. Serbians have a long lasting and an equally firm grip on democracy and will not be “taught” democracy by the depleted uranium bombs, not by NATO, nor any other outside force.

Here is a clip from today’s BBC speaking clearly about a man quoting “The Express newspaper carried a large front page photograph of an old ethnic Serb gentleman in a traditional Chetnik cap, sporting a magnificent handlebar moustache. The headline ran: "Serbs don't change." Inside there was another photograph of the same man, captioned: "Serbs vote for the past."

Now, then, comes in BBC, in spite of their virulent past demonizing and interviews that very same man even publishes his picture at (news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6288713.stm ), stating in essence that Serbians are looking forward to living in peace with their Albanian neighbors – I wonder if Amanpour has a different take on these few words from BBC:

“The Express newspaper carried a large front page photograph of an old ethnic Serb gentleman in a traditional Chetnik cap, sporting a magnificent handlebar moustache.

The headline ran: "Serbs don't change." Inside there was another photograph of the same man, captioned: "Serbs vote for the past." In fact I had seen the old man, a proud 86-year-old, vote in the ethnic Serb village of Gracanica, just outside Pristina. He said he was not interested in nationalist parties like the Radicals.

This type of politician, he said, was the reason why Serbia had so many troubles. The old man said he wanted to elect someone who would talk constructively with his ethnic Albanian neighbours.” What was it that was in the pudding? Amanpour? Bleehr? Clinton? Or the final truth?
