Balochistan : Students plan rallies to mobilise people against Pakistani Occupation

QUETTA: The Baloch Students Organisation has announced to hold protest rallies in different areas of the province to mobilise people for a grand demonstration in Quetta against military operation and government policies.

Speaking at a press conference held at the press club on Monday, BSO chairman Bashirzeb Baloch said that Nawab Akbar Bugti was the father of the Baloch nation and the organisation supported the armed struggle of Nawabzada Balaach Marri, Nawabzada Bramdagh Bugti and Nawabzada Ali Bugti.

He said that usurpers had snatched the Baloch people’s sovereign rights and were looting the resources of the province. He said that they would not give up the struggle for national rights.

The BSO leader said that the organisation had decided to take out processions in Nushki, Kalat, Khuzdar, Pasni, Gwadar, Hub, Sibi, Kharan, Dera Murad Jamali and Karachi to unite the youths for grand rally in the provincial capital.

Meanwhile, in a statement Nawabzada Mir Balaach Khan Marri urged the Baloch people to shun their differences and wage a joint struggle for completing the mission of Nawab Akbar Bugti.

He said that the Baloch struggle had reached a historic point “and now they are close to achieving their goal”.

He said that the rulers committed atrocities against the Baloch whenever they launched a movement for their rights, but that had only brought the Baloch close to each other.

"These atrocities are serving only to strengthen the determination of the Baloch," said Mir Balaach Marri, the younger son of veteran Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri.

He said the Baloch Students Organisation was the political future of the Baloch and their struggle was very important.

"The Baloch are now waking up, and it is time to speed up the struggle,” he said.

He said the sacrifices of Nawab Akbar Bugti were clearly visible, and the people of Balochistan had now understood that struggle was the only way for achieving their goal.

"Nawab Bugti is still alive," he said and added that the awareness his death had created among the Baloch should be enhanced.

He said that rulers were hurling threats against Baloch people, but such threats could not force them to abandon their struggle, and they would continue to follow on the path shown by Nawab Bugti.

Mr Marri said that he had never given any importance to the parliament. "I reject all these assemblies as they cannot solve the problems of the people of Balochistan," he said, asking the Baloch to get united and not to hesitate from rendering any sacrifices for the achievement of their goal."Baloch people cast their votes in my favour and proved that they are with me," he said.
