This Saturday the World Knights of The Ku Klux Klan will hold a rally in Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia. Moving on from the debate about whether or not they should be confronted, and onto one about what tactics we should use to stop them, a call has been made for a militant anti-fascist presence at Harper’s Ferry during the Klan’s rally. It’s important to realize that we all remain complicit in our silence and inaction, and that this growing threat can be only be stopped using the tools that a culture of white supremacy has deemed inappropriate and illegal.

This is an urgent call for all those with the ability to do so to come to
Harper’s Ferry and help us make it known that we are not willing to let
our communities run rampant with racism and hate. That we recognize the
issue of “free speech” is irrelevant, seeing as that we acknowledge no
authority or governing body that has the power to grant us a “right” to do
anything. That we will fight fascism in of all of its forms whenever and
where ever it manifests.
The Klan will be hosting their rally from 1-4 PM on Saturday at Harper’s
Ferry National Historic Park, on Hamilton Street in between the railroad and Shenandoah River. We will be meeting earlier in the day however. Bring a change of clothes separate from what you’ll wear during the anti-fascist bloc, as well as anything else you’d need to come ready for a fight.
