Hezbollah Declares Strategic Victory over Israel
The head of Hezbollah, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, said on Monday that his militia had won "a strategic and historic victory" over Israel and that this is the "wrong moment" to discuss a disarming of the group.

Nasrallah noted that Hezbollah would begin Tuesday to repair the homes damaged by the Israeli attacks and would pay a years rent and the cost of furniture to all owners of the nearly 15,000 destroyed homes.
From Syria, President Bashar al Assad said that Hezbollah had won the military battle and now must "win the political battle."
Assad praised the head of Hezbollah whom he characterized as "the most extraordinary leader in the history of Lebanese resistance."
"Nobody, neither the Israel secret service nor the US, knows their real capacity to resist," Assad added, reported by ANSA.
US President Bush showed the utmost cynicism when at a press conference he accused Hezbollah of causing the deaths and destruction of Lebanon. Once again Bush defended Israel and justified its attacks on the Lebanese population, calling the killing of civilians "an accident."
Meanwhile, the Swedish government called on 60 countries and organizations to participate in a donor conference on humanitarian aid and the reconstruction of Lebanon.
Also on Tuesday, three Palestinians died and another three were wounded in an Israeli air attack on the town of Beit Hanun in the north of the Gaza Strip, informed medical sources.
