Baltimore Toxic Tour
In mid-July, Community-organizer Glenn Ross gave a bus tour on environmental health racism in Baltimore - focusing on how urban redevelopment has moved toxic demolition materials and poor residents around the city in such a way as to contribute to a health crisis in minority communities, particularly with respiratory illness.
This is a link to a video document of the tour. The video is somewhat dry in comparison to having actually been on the tour, but it does provide useful information and a stark evaluation of what Mr. Ross refers as "environmental health racism," as he argues that these conditions are predominantly found in poor, urban, minority communities.
