In the years past, my writings had me categorized as a Zionist, Pro-Jewish and similar – so much so, that this following article is twice as much the departure although I still maintain all my “Zionist views and principles”.

My “pro-Israel” and/or “Zionist” views only get to exist vis-à-vis the Palestinian problem and attacks from Hammas/Hezbollah.

While theological root of Christianity is obvious in Judaism, we also have some drastic differences that sprung mainly from Judaism, but affect both Jews and Christians – I maintain that we (all mankind) would be better without this one single element of Judaic heritage in our culture.

With absolutely no compunction to even consider any apologetics or even explanation we all have to agree that it is self evident that a typical American male matures around the age or 40 to as late as 55, while an average American female matures between 13 and 18. Aside from the innate differences between the genders (which are as hard as they could possibly be right now) – we endowed the humanity with added (and probably) insurmountable obstacles through our warped culture. This is not a sentence or an accusation of any kind – this is simply how things are. It is not surprising that Brazilians play good soccer – it is a fact; similarly, here in the United States our sociological make-up is composed of building blocks that are distributed through our schools, parenting, media, and other external sources.

If there is a single accusation to be laid within this text it will be at the feet of Aaron Spelling (who just died within the last month). He is known as “Hollywood’s most prolific producer” – and listed that way in the 2006 World book of Guiness records. Instinctively we all know that quantity and quality are in a direct disproportion. In the sphere of his work (TV, film production) he is rather well known as having a strong tendency towards “escapism”. His shows include “Fantasy Island”, “The Love Boat”, “Charlie’s Angels”, etc. Worst of all, Mr. Spelling must have been endowed with a strong Jewish heritage (he grew up as a lone Jew, in Texas, and was often beaten up in his childhood – mainly for being different – Jewish). It is a prominent feature of many Jewish families to stress the importance of the female member – although it remains far from what used to be called matriarchal society. Many of the Jewish families are strongly patriarchal (especially pronounced within the Chasidic movements) – however the predominant structure of a typical Jewish family has a predominant mother figure/wife figure. In that regard, the American male had nothing but a bad example to follow.

Other than the above named few TV shows of the lowest quality (never-mind the Guiness book on quantity), Mr. Spelling was a very influential person in Hollywood and deserves a great deal more credit than the shows carrying his name alone. He was instrumental in the earlier shows (like The Bionic Woman, The Wonder Woman, Charlie’s Angels, etc.). These three shows combined with other media creations (Attack of the 50 foot woman, Barbarella, Catwoman – along with ambiguous sexual orientation of Batman and Robin, have all left an impression on our psyche – and a negative one at that. All these “vixens” – villain type women have traditionally over-powered their male co-stars, or made their lives very difficult.

Chronologically speaking this couldn’t have come at a worse time 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s. Let’s remember this was the time as “bra-burners” and “women’s lib” movements were being activated. All these elements combined resulted in the ugly Olivia Newton John image of polyester clad singer dancing and prancing to the tune of “physical”, followed by Madona’s Virgin”, “Papa don’t Preach”, “Material Girl” and similar openly anti-male movements the American male didn’t have a prayer. For decades, American male is being told from many sources that he is inadequate – that diamonds are girl’s best friends, etc. Take all of that as a continuous message delivered to a person who is not matured enough to be able to intelligently discern that this is pure propaganda and not real life – so instead by virtue internalizing and some degree of self-damnation a typical male starts getting a real warped image of self, while surrounded by events that go to support this superwoman of one kind or another and further yet reinforce male inferiority.

In this time and day, the last thing we needed was Aaron Spelling’s promotion of these superhuman women with powers to emasculate any man any day of the week and twice on Sundays. This, I attribute to Spelling’s keen sense of commerciality of any given topic, his Jewish upbringing and his through disregard for the greater good of all of us – excluding his own bank account. For those reasons – I regret to say, that I was happy he was no longer among the living. Indeed it is not popular – nor is it very acceptable to criticize anybody that has just recently died, but Aaron Spelling defied standards when he was alive and he continues to defy standards now that he is dead.

This is all in sharp opposition to another type of evident Judaism as in the noble examples of Shelley Winters – particularly in her role of the Jewish character (Mrs. Rosen) in the Poseidon adventure. In spite of her character’s unsuitability to the task proposed (underwater rescue) she undertakes the riskiest task and bravely follows what is known as “Gemuilt Chasidim” – loving charity, loving kindness to save a Catholic chaplain.

So much more is it confusing and complicated to resolve the many issues of Anti-Semitism (plenty of good sources to support anti-Semitism – like Aaron Spelling – not to mention that he virtually “pimped” his own daughter Torry Spelling within the Beverly Hills 90210 show through many sexually explicit scenes.

As an additional credit to Shelley Winters, let’s remember that she was the “wannabe femme fatale” in Stanley Kubrick’s “Lolita” but never a typical, menacing “man-eater” as many of those Spelling has brought to life. She endowed her role with charm, naiveté, gullibility, poor middle-class morality, but equally gracious, inviting and charming without the castrating propositions which so prominently figure in Spelling’s female creations.

So, we do have evidence of past lives of two Jewish people who were both immensely popular and successful in their respective trade (entertainment for both of them), where one has done more harm than good (except to his own bank account) while the other was a real sweetheart, epitome of kindness, generosity, style and grace. That much more is all generalizing on the topic of Anti-Semitism completely out of place. Ethical standards oblige us to view each individual separately and decide on that person’s own merits.

Is it any wonder that Europeans laugh when you say “American culture”? To Europeans the only benefit of discovering the New continent was Levi Strauss jeans, Elvis Presley, Coca-Cola and that’s about it.
