Directions to this years Earth First! rendezvous

this years RRR is in Southwest Virginia July 3-10
Directions and Updates for the 26th Annual Round River Rendezvous in Katuah

Howdy folks, here are the long awaited directions to the 26th annual Earth First! Rendezvous. After some wrangling, some wrastlin’, and a whole lot of meetin’ we finally figured out a spot. The sight will be one that some of you are familiar with, the beautiful Little Stony Falls in the Jefferson National Forest near Coeburn, VA.

Before we get down to directions, there are a few things that we want remind y’all about. First off, please remember to bring some form of water purification. There is a nice creek nearby but we don’t recommend drinking straight from it. There is also a spring, but we can’t guarantee that it will still be running when folks show up.
Secondly, don’t forget to bring food for yourself for the whole week. If you don’t want to bring all your food at once, there is a grocery store about 25-30 minutes away. Sorry, but we just don’t have the resources to feed everyone. There will be all the gear on hand for a communal kitchen (propane burners, pots, and pans etc.) which we hope folks will self-organize. The food end of that deal will be up to those who want to put it together, so if you’re coming with a vehicle, you might think about hitting up some dumpsters on your way out and bringing some foodstuffs for a communal kitchen.
Thirdly, we are putting a considerable amount of time and resources into this here shindig known as the RRR and it’s put a bit of a hurtin’ on our bank account. So we are asking for a sliding scale donation of 20-50 bucks to cover expenses and so that we can send some cash on to next year’s rendezvous. Of course nobody will be turned away for lack of funds; we just hope that if you have some cash to spare you can share it.
Lastly, we should have a rideboard up on the Katuah Earth First! website by the time you get this. So if you’ve got extra room in your vehicle look and see if you could give someone a lift. If you’re in need of a ride look on here for potential drivers.
We’re really looking forward to having all you fine folks in our neck of the woods. It’s going to be a great week of strategizing, organizing, partying, and howlin’.
