What Chomsky shows in his opposition to any sanctions, or to any practical measures taken against Israel, in his opposition to even hold Israel directly responsible for -- or holding the Israel lobby responsible for causing its share of -- the suffering in Palestine (or before in Lebanon) -- *regardless* of Israel's imperial sponsors -- and in his claiming that Israel has an inherent moral right to exist "within its 1967 borders" as a separate Jewish state -- shows what has been true for too many whites -- however "liberal, progressive or leftist" -- is that when it 'gets too close to home' for *them* -- him or his friends -- when it becomes too dear to *them* -- when *THEIR* dearest racialized/ethnic privilges are threatened -- then they *BALK*.

*Then* come the double standards... And in the case of Chomsky, "anarchism" and true democracy -- a truly multicultural country/world that fully respects the dignity of all -- a world without borders (as anarchists supposedly believe in), let alone walls -- is *too good* for just *EVERYONE*: too good for, in this case, the Palestinians.

As one Black friend of mine originally from the ghetto says, "Too often the only difference between white conservatives and white liberals is only where they draw the line."
