World Premiere Documentary Film: No Option

Baltimore's Harford Road was blocked by trash dumping activists in February. Two were arrested. What's happened since then? Watch the world premiere of No Option to see the story unfold. The first half of this twelve-minute documentary is presented as two quicktime files. The second half will appear next week.
No Option: The Gorsuch Avenue Trash Uprising

During the Spring of 2002, residents of Baltimore's Gorsuch Avenue enlisted the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) to help convince the City to clean up alleys and abandoned lots. David Bramble, ACORN member and Gorsuch Avenue homeowner, led the effort.

ACORN staff members Phil Andrews and Sultan Shakir encouraged residents to take dramatic action. Members of the Northeast Federation of Anarcho-Communists (NEFAC), who happened to be meeting nearby, joined in.

Watch the rest of No Option: the Gorsuch Avenue Trash Uprising here next week.
