October 22, 2005—Government manipulation of weather for terror and
destruction is one pattern your local weatherman is surely not pointing out.
So let me help with the forecast, past, present and long-range.
Starting on December 26, 2004, you had the Indian Ocean earthquake and
tsunami, an undersea earthquake that generated a tsunami that killed
approximately 275,000 people. As the linked article reports, the magnitude
of the Indian Ocean quake now stands at 9.15, making it one of the most
deadly and frightening in history. From the third paragraph, come some
hair-raising facts . . .
In May, scientists reported that the earthquake itself lasted nearly ten
minutes when most major earthquakes last no more than a few seconds; it
caused the entire planet to vibrate at least a few centimetres. It also
triggered earthquakes elsewhere, as far away as Alaska.
The section on "Tectonic Plates" gives two more earth-shaking pieces of
information . . .
. . . Seismographic and acoustic data indicate that the first phase
involved the formation of a rupture about . . . 250 mi . . . long and . . .
60 mi wide, located . . . 19 mi . . . beneath the sea bed - the longest
known rupture ever known to have been caused by an earthquake (italics mine)
. . .
As well as the sideways movement between the plates, the sea bed is
estimated to have risen by several metres, displacing an estimated . . .
7 cu mi . . . of water and triggering devastating tsunami waves. The waves
did not originate from a point source, as mistakenly depicted in some
illustrations of their spread, but radiated outwards along the entire . . .
750 mi . . . length of the rupture. This greatly increased the geographical
area over which the waves were observed, reaching as far as Mexico, Chile
and the Arctic. The raising of the sea bed significantly reduced the
capacity of the Indian Ocean, producing a permanent rise in the global sea
level by an estimated 0.1 mm.
Stated more simply, these facts point to an extraordinary amount of energy
expended to produce extraordinary events, including a permanent rise in sea
level. From the "Power of the earthquake" section, there are more unsettling
statistics . . .
The total energy released by the earthquake in the Indian Ocean . . . is
equivalent to 100 gigatons of TNT, or about as much energy as is used in the
United States in 6 months. It is estimated to have resulted in an
oscillation of the Earth's surface of about 20–30 cm (8 to 12 in),
equivalent to the effect of the tidal forces caused by the Sun and Moon. The
shock waves of the earthquake were felt across the planet; as far away as
Oklahoma, vertical movements of 3 mm (0.12 in) were recorded. The entire
Earth's surface is estimated to have moved vertically by up to 1 cm (italics
mine).
. . . It also caused the Earth to minutely "wobble" on its axis by up to
2.5 cm (1 in) . . . or perhaps by up to 5 or 6 cm (2.0 to 2.4 in). . . .
Simply stated, here we have an event that expends so much energy it
literally shortens the day, causes the earth to wobble and its surface to
raise.
What's more, on March 28, we have another earthquake in the area of Northern
Sumatra and Indonesia. According to the National Earthquake Information
Center, U.S. Geological Survey, it weighs in at 8.7. Add to that, a total of
six Major Earthquakes around the World in 2005 , all over a magnitude of
7.0, not counting the one in Islamabad in Pakistan, which we'll deal with in
a moment.
Additionally, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution issues a news release
last Jan. 13. titled "Major Caribbean Earthquakes and Tsunamis a Real
Risk—Events rare, but scientists call for public awareness, warning system"
. . . Paragraphs two tells us . . .
In a new study published December 24, 2004 in the Journal of Geophysical
Research from the American Geophysical Union, geologists Uri ten Brink of
the U.S. Geological Survey in Woods Hole and Jian Lin of the Woods Hole
Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) report a heightened earthquake risk of the
Septentrional fault zone, which cuts through the highly populated region of
the Cibao valley in the Dominican Republic. In addition, they caution, the
geologically active offshore Puerto Rico and Hispaniola trenches are capable
of producing earthquakes of magnitude 7.5 and higher. The Indonesian
earthquake on December 26, which generated a tsunami that killed (to date),
an estimated 150,000 people, came from a fault of similar structure, but was
a magnitude 9.0, much larger than the recorded quakes near the Puerto Rico
Trench.
So, around the world, we seem to be having a wave of major earthquakes. In
fact, let's return to Islamabad's catastrophe, as reported in the New York
Times, Pakistan Quake Rocks South Asia; Over 18,000 Killed.
We find that the quake centered in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Pakistan,
emitting tremors all across South Asia, actually killing more than 25,000
people. The quake weighed in at 7.6. Its epicenter, some 60 miles north of
Pakistani's capital, caused some 20 "significant aftershocks" measuring
between 5 and 6.2 magnitude. The tremors went as far east as New Delhi, the
Indian capital, west to Kabul, Afghanistan's capital, the "biggest shock and
awe to strike the country in a century," besides of course the US Military,
and in some ways even more potent.
That brings me to my central concern of government involvement. That
involvement covers also the recent spate of hurricanes, including the most
disastrous Katrina, which has now drowned an entire American city, which
itself looks like one of those ravaged third world cities which are part of
or are near political hotspots . . .
Hurricane Katrina was the eleventh named tropical storm, fourth hurricane,
third major hurricane, and first Category 5 hurricane of the 2005 Atlantic
hurricane season. It first made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane just
north of Miami, Florida on August 25, 2005, then again on August 29 along
the Central Gulf Coast near New Orleans, Louisiana, as a Category 4 storm.
Katrina resulted in breaches of the levee system that protected New Orleans
from Lake Pontchartrain, and most of the city was subsequently flooded by
the lake's waters. This and other major damage to the coastal regions of
Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama made Katrina the most destructive and
costliest natural disaster in the history of the United States.
I suppose one could simply say Katrina was a matter of criminal negligence
or an advanced case of political sleep-walking. Yet I include it in this
larger picture of world environmental terror because terror is the feeling
it instilled, especially given the human, physical and economic destruction.
I submit as well the Guatemala Storm that swept through Central America on
October 9, reported in the LA Times. Alex Renderos and Reed Johnson write .
. .
GUATEMALA CITY—Rescue workers pulled bodies Saturday from Guatemalan
villages devastated by mudslides, and other volunteers used hand tools,
machetes and their bare hands to dig for more victims as the aftermath of
Hurricane Stan continued to wreak havoc across northern Central America.
Guatemalan officials said 508 people had been killed and 337 others were
missing in the country as a result of flooding and mudslides caused by the
hurricane that roared across the region last week. More than 100 other
deaths have been reported in Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and
Costa Rica.
If all these examples still seem like a matter of happenstance, let me offer
up this quote from Michel Chossudovsky in his Second Edition of America's
"War on Terrorism," published by Global Research, 2005, page 95 . . .
"Since September 11, 2001, billions of dollars have been channeled towards
developing new advanced weapons systems . . .
"The Strategic Defense Initiative ('Star Wars') not only includes the
controversial "Missile Shield" . . . [but] instruments of weather and
climatic warfare under the High Altitude Research Program (HAARP). The
latter has the ability of destabilizing entire national economies through
climatic manipulations, without the knowledge of the enemy, at minimal cost
and without engaging military personnel and equipment as in a conventional
war."
Chossudovsky is not alone in this sobering statement of fact.
US Weapons of Meteorological Mass Destruction
Dan Eden in an article, titled Weapons of Mass Destruction, talked about the
HAARP facility located in Gakuna, Alaska, where patents bought from inventor
Dr. Bernard Eastlund by huge defense contractor Raytheon are being
experimented with, and used conceivably against world populations.
The HAARP Program is a US Air Force, Navy and University of Alaska funded
investigation to "understand, simulate and control ionospheric processes
that might alter the performance of communication and surveillance systems"
as well as weather systems and those which actually can modify human
behavior. The HAARP program was started in 1993 for a proposed twenty year
series of experiments. Two paragraphs from Eden's article give you an idea
of the forces being played with . . .
To date, there have been eleven other patents derived from Eastlund's
original work. These patents describe the reflective alterations of the
ionosphere for such uses as "nuclear scale explosions without radiation,"
"power-beaming systems," "over-the-horizon radar systems," and "nuclear
missile detection and destruction systems." Further, the patents are now
owned by Raytheon, a long-standing defense contractor, and can now be
combined with other military patents and used for battlefield applications .
. .
[They have the] " . . . ability to put unprecedented amounts of power in
Earth's atmosphere at strategic locations and to maintain the power
injection level particularly if random pulsing is employed, in a manner far
more precise and better controlled than heretofore accomplished by the prior
art, particularly by detonation of nuclear devices of various yields at
various altitudes . . ."
A critical summary on Harp.Net of Dr. Nick Begich and Jeane Manning's book,
Angel“s Don“t Play This HAARP tells us, "Eastlund's patents were originally
controlled by ARCO Power Technologies Incorporated (APTI), a subsidiary of
Atlantic Richfield Company, one of the biggest oil companies in the world.
APTI was the contractor that built the HAARP facility. ARCO sold this
subsidiary, the patents and the second phase construction contract to
E-Systems in June 1994.
"E-Systems is one of the biggest intelligence contractors in the world–doing
work for the CIA, defense intelligence organizations and others. And 1.8
billion of their annual sales are to these organizations, with $800 million
for black projects–projects so secret that even the United States Congress
isn't told how the money is being spent.
"E-Systems was bought out by Raytheon, again one of the largest defense
contractors in the world. . . . The twelve patents . . . are the backbone of
the HAARP project and are now buried among thousands of others held in the
name of Raytheon . . ."
A statement I find most relevant in this HAARP report is . . .
Weather modification is possible by, for example, altering upper atmosphere
wind patterns by constructing one or more plumes of atmospheric particles
which will act as a lens or focusing device.
. . . Molecular modifications of the atmosphere can take place so that . .
. environmental effects can be achieved. Besides actually changing the
molecular composition of an atmospheric region, a particular molecule or
molecules can be chosen for increased presence. For example, ozone,
nitrogen, etc., concentrations in the atmosphere could be artificially
increased.
Remembering that this work began in 1994, consider these statements from the
article . . .
"Begich and Manning brought to light government documents indicating that
the military has weather-control technology. When HAARP is eventually built
to its full power level, it could create weather effects over entire
hemispheres. If one government experiments with the world's weather
patterns, what is done in one place will impact everyone else on the planet.
Angels Don't Play This HAARP explains a principle behind some of Nikola
Tesla's inventions—resonance—which affect planetary systems."
Nikola Tesla (1865◊1943), the so called "mad genius" or "wild man" of
electronics was convinced he could develop enough electric power "to split
the earth like an apple." Experimenting for a wealthy employer in the
electric business in Colorado Springs, Tesla managed to black out the entire
city and set the power generator on fire. The roar was heard for more than
ten miles. Yet he moved on to bigger and more successful ideas, like
missiles, particle beam weaponry, satellites, nuclear fission, and robots at
the turn of the 20th century.
Dr. Bernard Eastland based his work on Tesla's principles as Begich and
Manning discovered. Their observations are related in the Angels' article,
in the section called "Weather Control" . . .
Avalanches of energy dislodged by such radio waves could hit us hard. Their
work suggests that technicians could control global weather by sending
relatively small 'signals' into the Van Allen belts (radiation belts around
Earth). Thus Tesla's resonance effects can control enormous energies by tiny
triggering signals.
The Begich/ Manning book asks whether that knowledge will be used by
war-oriented or biosphere-oriented scientists.
The military has had about twenty years to work on weather warfare methods,
which it euphemistically calls weather modification. For example, rainmaking
technology was taken for a few test rides in Vietnam. The U.S. Department of
Defense sampled lightning and hurricane manipulation studies in Project
Skyfire and Project Stormfury. And they looked at some complicated
technologies that would give big effects.
Angels Don't Play This HAARP cites an expert who says the military studied
both lasers and chemicals which they figured could damage the ozone layer
over an enemy. Looking at ways to cause earthquakes, as well as to detect
them, was part of the project named Prime Argus, decades ago. The money for
that came from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA, now
under the acronym ARPA.) In 1994 the Air Force revealed its Spacecast 2020
master plan which includes weather control. Scientists have experimented
with weather control since the 1940's, but Spacecast 2020 noted that "using
environmental modification techniques to destroy, damage or injure another
state are prohibited." Having said that, the Air Force claimed that advances
in technology "compels a reexamination of this sensitive and potentially
risky topic."
Lest you think only Chossudovsky, Eden or Begich and Manning are concerned
with HAARP and weather control, consider scientist Dr. Rosalie Bertell,
writing in her Background of the HAARP Project:
Poker Flat Rocket Launch (1968 to Present)
The Poker Flat Research Range is located about 50 km North of Fairbanks,
Alaska, and it was established in 1968. It is operated by the Geophysical
Institute with the University of Alaska Fairbanks, under NASA contract.
About 250 major rocket launches have taken place from this site, and in
1994, a 16-meter long rocket was launched to help NASA "understand chemical
reactions in the atmosphere associated with global climate change."
Similar experiments, but using Chemical Release Modules (CRM), have been
launched from Churchill, Manitoba. In 1980, Brian Whelan's "Project
Waterhole" disrupted an aurora borealis, bringing it to a temporary halt. In
February 1983, the chemical released into the ionosphere caused an aurora
borealis over Churchill. In March 1989, two Black Brant X's and two Nike
Orion rockets were launched over Canada, releasing barium at high altitudes
and creating artificial clouds. These Churchill artificial clouds were
observed from as far away as Los Alamos, New Mexico.
If that sounds like a future you don't want on your doorstep today, consider
the opening paragraphs of Dr. Nick Begich's Star Wars, Star Trek and Killing
Politely, linked here in full . . .
Over the last several years Earthpulse has been investigating the latest
developments in technology. We explore subjects related to improving the
human condition and expose projects which we believe are risky and
unnecessary. This essay is about some of the science being developed and
contemplated by military planners and others which could profoundly affect
our lives. The intent of this essay is to focus discussion on these new
systems by bringing them into the light of day.
Is it possible to trigger earthquakes, volcanic eruptions or weather changes
by man-made activities? Is it possible to create and direct balls of energy
at lightning speeds, to destroy an enemy? Is it possible to manipulate the
behavior, and even the memories, of people using specialized technologies?
The United States military and others believe that this is the case. Many of
these systems are well on their way to being used in the battlefield.
If you believe, as I and others do, that we've gone past the realm of
probability into the realm of a dangerous reality, especially given the
frequency of catastrophic events, isn't it time to send our own beam of
energy to the US government, and demand a full investigation into the
activities of HAARP, in particular the manipulation of hurricanes and
earthquakes? This kind of activity is another form of terror we live with,
because it seems like it can strike anywhere, anytime, in the guise of
natural event.
Perhaps it is just Mother Nature kicking up her heels, perhaps not. In
either case, a return to reality is called for in these surreal days. The
simple presence of HAARP is a form of psychological terror, threatening not
just the weather, but the well-being of man and survival of the planet. And
that's something you'll never hear from your media weatherman.
