Boston Indymedia censor: "Hey man we didn't censor you because you mentioned the 911 Hoax, we hid your article because you did not explain the 911 hoax, or even attempt to. If you write an article, even if it stinks, we'll leave it up. Read our Editorial policy. This site is not meant for advertising your blog. Although the links in this article may lead to actual news stories. Hyper-links in and of themselves are not news..."

Which can translated to: "Post an article about the 911 Hoax that we can quickly make disappear up the newswire. Meanwhile, every day that passes we will allow the Bush dictatorship to continue using the 911 Hoax for its wars of aggression and curtailing of domestic liberties."

the Boston censor says read their Editorial Policy. It says that they are trying to encourage:

3. Coverage of issues that affect Bostonians and the Greater Boston area.
5. Media created by or about groups that are underrepresented in the mainstream media.

However, Boston IMC is not serious about either point. They're trying to tightly control how their readers consume news. The features articles on the main page get the most attention. Newswire articles swiftly leave the home page so that if you blink you may miss something significant. Meanwhile, there is very little substance in either the features or the newswire that activists can use in their struggle against the regime in Washington.

In addition, the Boston IMC censor writes as if there was no additional commentary or images accompanying the news in this blog.

So, in a nutshell Boston IMC does allow someone to communicate issues that "affect Bostonians" but only in a manner that the most vigilant of them can see it. Clearly, this is a violation of Indymedia's stated objectives. This is why NJS says that Indymedia is a front for an intelligence agency.

Welcome to the Matrix. The only way activists can effectively fight back is to reach people about the 911 Hoax.

p.s. Boston IMC's editorial guideline #6: "Positive stories about people or projects working towards social and economic justice." "Positive stories" dramatically limits the potential commentary to happy, fluffy commentary which has no effect on power.
